เดือนสิงหาคมของทุกปีมีความสำคัญ ในฐานะเป็นวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา “พระพันปีหลวง” สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระพันปีหลวง

แต่ในปี ๒๕๖๕ เป็นปีที่จัดงานเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระพันปีหลวง เนื่องในโอกาสมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา ๙๐ พรรษา

หนึ่งในกิจกรรมที่น่าสนใจคือ การนั่งรถบัสสองชั้น เที่ยวชมรอบเมือง ในระหว่างวันที่ ๑ – ๑๕ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๕ โดยเจษฎาเทคนิคมิวเซียม ได้นำรถบัสเปิดประทุน ๒ ชั้น จำนวน ๒ คัน (สีแดง และ สีเขียว) มาบริการวิ่งชมรอบเกาะรัตนโกสินทร์ โดยมีจุดขึ้นรถ ๒ แห่ง ได้แก่ บริเวณลานจอดรถกองสลากเดิม และ หน้าอาคารนิทรรศน์รัตนโกสินทร์

สำหรับเส้นทางวิ่ง เริ่มต้นจากกองสลากเดิม เลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าสี่แยกคอกวัว ผ่านวัดบวรนิเวศฯ แยกผ่านฟ้า ลานพลับพลาฯ ถนนราชดำเนิน ถนนราชินี สนามหลวงเส้นกลาง และวนกลับมาที่กองสลากเดิม

สำหรับท่านที่สนใจ สามารถใช้บริการได้ วันจันทร์ – ศุกร์ ๑๔.๐๐ – ๒๑.๐๐ น. และ เสาร์-อาทิตย์-วันหยุดนักขัตฤกษ์ ตั้งแต่ ๙.๐๐ – ๒๑.๐๐ น.
